SINCE 1917
Morita Iron Works Co., Ltd. was founded in 1917 in Kawaguchi city, Saitama prefecture, where is known as a town of casting industry.
We have organized as a specialized factory which can undertake the epochal processing of machining and assembling of the valves consistently, and stepped along with the growth of the water supply business as a key part of domestic valve technology.
We are a company that supports the water service business and contributes to the society by sincerely looking closely into the valves as a specialized valve manufacturer continuously since the foundation, and devoting our heart to manufacturing reliable goods.

Established as a personal company of Genkichi Morita in Kotobuki-cho, Kawaguchi city, Saitama, Japan. |
Established as a specialized factory for water control valves for treated water application, fire hydrant, etc. | |
September 1933 | Moved to Namiki-cho 1-1, Kawaguchi city. |
December 1943 |
Reorganized to a corporation, with a capital of 1 million yen. |
Merged a partnership company, Matsui Shokai. | |
December 1947 | Hiromu Morita became Managing Director and President. |
April 1950 | Opened Tokyo Sales office. |
November 1952 | The capital came to 3 million yen. |
October 1953 | Received the designation of a Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) certified factory of vessel application valves. |
April 1954 | Received the designation of a Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) certified factory as the 1st issue of land application casting valves in Japan. |
July 1954 | The capital came to 25 million yen. |
March 1963 | The capital came to 35 million yen. |
November 1963 | Approved for construction works by Ministry of Construction, Japan |
June 1966 | Opened Osaka Sales office. |
August 1968 | The capital came to 42 million yen. |
November 1969 | The head office building was completed in Namiki-cho, Kawaguchi city. |
December 1976 | The capital came to 73.5 million yen. |
May 1978 | Hiromu Morita was appointed to Chairman of the board of directors. |
Akihiro Morita was appointed to Managing Director and President. | |
September 1985 | Built a new plant in Satte city, Saitama. |
Relocated the facilities of four plants in Kawaguchi city to there. | |
December 1985 | The head office was relocated to the new building in Satte new plant. |
The Satte plant became the head office and factory. | |
May 1997 | Akihiro Morita was appointed to Chairman of the board of directors. |
Masaaki Morita was appointed to Managing Director and President. | |
December 1998 | Head office and factory acquired ISO9001 certification. |
March 2003 | Whole company organization acquired ISO9001 certification. |
January 2010 | Three sales offices in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka raised to sales branches. |
October 2014 | Hokkaido sales office raised to sales branch. |
April 2015 | Kyushu sales office raised to sales branch. |
October 2017 | Company celebrated its 100th anniversary. |
May 2022 | Masaaki Morita was appointed to Chairman. |
Rei Takahashi was appointed to Managing Director and President. |
